Junior ColdFusion Developer

Reporting to the Technical Manager, the Junior ColdFusion Developer role will be focused primarily on maintaining the current application(s) by providing a timely resolution to issues and bugs to ensure an effective and efficient web application to our clients. This is a newly created position due to an increase in business for IMG STG Services.

Key responsibilities for this position:

Manage daily assigned tasks to completion
Recommend solutions to address both functional and technical issues of given problems
Implement issue resolution in a timely fashion and according to issue priorities as determined by Jira and/or the Technical Manager
Communicate with the Client Services Team to ensure accurate and timely information is received through Jira on a per issue basis
Identify areas within the code base that can be improved whilst working on issues
Participate in the development, testing and implementation/release of new and existing software applications
Ensure development work follows best practice where applicable
Developing and making changes to critical external facing applications
Keep abreast of IT industry evolution and best practice and implement back in the workplace where appropriate

About You:

We are looking for a team player with excellent communications, problem solving skills and critical thinking abilities. You will also have excellent time management skills with demonstrated commitment to achieve results within stringent timelines. Knowledge of internet trends and technologies is a must.

The successful candidate will have:

1 to 2 years development experience with ColdFusion
1 to 2 years experience with MS SQL Server 2000/2005/2008 or other relational databases as a developer (not as an administrator)
2 to 3 years experience with Javascript, XML, HTML, CSS, Ajax preferred
Experience with ColdFusion frameworks (ColdBox, FuseBox etc) preferred but not essential
Experience with Eclipse/Dreamweaver
